Nirvana Patel is Head of Fintech Risk at MVB Bank, where he leads risk management for the bank’s fintech programs across traditional and emerging financial products.

Before joining MVB, Nirvana served as Chief Compliance Officer and BSA Officer at Prime Trust, where he built and scaled the compliance function during a period of rapid growth, navigating complex regulatory requirements. Previously, he held AML compliance roles at Citigroup and American Express, where he directed AML compliance risk management for new and existing products and spearheaded investigations and transaction monitoring enhancements. Prior to his life in AML, Nirvana spent time in private equity, buy-side advisory, and financial reporting.

Nirvana is Co-Founder of Unicore Growth Partners, which develops strategic solutions for fintech and financial services companies navigating complex regulatory environments, and a Board Member of the ACAMS New York Chapter.

With nearly two decades spanning traditional banking and fintech, Nirvana specializes in building compliance frameworks that enable innovation while maintaining regulatory integrity. His approach treats risk management as a strategic enabler rather than a barrier to growth.
